Level B1 Language Course – Course Goals
By the end of this course, participants will be able to use the language confidently in familiar and routine situations. Here’s what they can expect to achieve:
Everyday Social Skills
Perform and respond to a wide range of common language functions in a neutral, polite register.
Listening
Understand the main points of clear, standard speech on familiar topics encountered at work, school, or in leisure activities, including short narratives.
Reading
Read straightforward factual texts related to personal interests or professional fields.
Find and understand relevant information in everyday materials such as letters, brochures, and short official documents.
Recognise the main points in simple newspaper articles on familiar subjects.
Speaking & Interaction
Communicate effectively using a wide range of simple language in everyday situations, including travel and routine interactions.
Initiate, maintain, and close simple face-to-face conversations on familiar topics or personal interests.
Speaking & Presenting
Give clear, structured descriptions of familiar subjects or events.
Relate details of unexpected occurrences, such as accidents, and provide brief explanations for opinions, plans, and actions.
Deliver prepared presentations on familiar topics, answer follow-up questions, and request repetition if needed.
